On the occasion of the “World Blood Donor Day”, Lebanese blood donation NGO Donner Sang Compter launched its first mobile app aimed at empowering and maintaining its database of blood donors and achieving more reach within the Lebanese society.

The app contains several features such as information on what to do before, during and after donation and the possibility to add potential donors to DSC’s database directly from the app. Furthermore, the application helps blood donors record the history of their blood donations and keep track of their availability for donating blood or platelets.

Donner Sang Compter is a  non profit organization that has established a centralized database of potential young healthy volunteers who are willing to voluntarily donate their blood, platelets and plasma to patients in need. Their mission is to be the contact link between patients and donors and hopefully the new mobile app will be a major player in enhancing this role.

The application is currently available only for iOS and an Android version is expected to be in the works and released later.

You can check out and download the application from the AppStore
